Meeting the needs of the whole family
a one day course for professionals working with separated families
The importance of... children's relationships with both parents is increasingly being recognised and valued. The challenge for services providing support to separating and separated families is how to meet the different needs of mums and dads and how to help them build new co-operative parenting relationships.
The Centre for Separated Families... began working in ways that support the whole family in 2000. Over the last 10 years, we have refined and developed our tools and strategies in ways that reduce conflict and help parents unlock their own potential for making the right choices for their children.
This one day course... builds on your existing skills and is packed with practical tools and strategies to help you support both parents and their children.
Course contents include:
working with difference: ensuring services meet the different needs of mums and dads... mapping change: helping parents to work with the challenges... identifying issues: working with parents to identify blocks and barriers... supporting children: engaging parents with their children's experiences... moving forward: empowering parents to make choices... plus new tools: for working with the whole family after separation...
